Galatians
A letter of passionate Christian honesty in which Paul gives it to them straight: and we are very grateful that he did.
Ephesians
Paul’s “Theory of Everything” in one short letter covering all time and space yet it remains quite down to earth. Some see it as ” The world at one.”
Philippians
Paul’s most “Joy-Full” letter written from a primitive prison cell. He covers such practicalities as getting on with life and the world as it is, getting on with people and even getting on with oneself.
Colossians
This is one of Paul’s most powerful teaching tracts in which he steers the unwary away from New Age teaching and back to the only true centre of all Christianity.
1 Thessalonians
Here Paul is helping a young church to find a more solid balance for their faith. Their questions are real but need to be refocused more centrally.
2 Thessalonians
Paul’s first letter had not fully satisfied the people’s problems at Thessalonica so a second letter was needed which would reach their level of anxiety.
1 Timothy
Here Paul is replying to his young friend and follower by providing pastoral advice to uplift and encourage him. He deals with Church worship, Church leaders and coping with society as he found it.
2 Timothy
Paul’s continuing care for young Timothy urges him to stand firm in his faith in Christ and face up to all counterfeit faith bravely.
Titus
Paul’s letter to Titus was to encourage him to lead the new and turbulent church in Crete and how to cope with daily problems-and to live the Faith.
