Input-Life after Death
The Resurrection of Jesus-Chapter 15 verses 1 to 34
From the way Paul deals with the subject, you can deduce the kind of
questions he was being asked about it.
Note:
The essential Gospel-verses 3 to 7
The importance of Christ’s Resurrection-verses 12 to 28
Question – Are you glad that the early practise of
Christians being baptised on behalf of those who lived before Christ, has long since stopped?
The Resurrection of Christians-Chapter 15 verses 35 to 59
Paul deals with their questions in three vivid ‘pictures’:
A Lesson from Agriculture-verses 35 to 44 The seen sown buried in the earth gives rise to ‘another’ grain.
Question – What earthly ‘genes’ would you be glad to see rising to fruitfulness in your spiritual body?
A Lesson from Human Nature-verses 45 to 50 He goes back to Adam.
Question – Can you trace his line of argument?
A Peep into the Future-verses 51 to 59
Until the final scene, the General Resurrection, there are spiritual ‘limbo’s’; one for Christ’s people, (Paradise gardens) and the other a ‘waiting room’ until the final judgement.
Question – What do you believe about the resurrection of believers? Can you provide any’ mind pictures’?
Before you pray together, cast a glance at Paul’s sudden transition from Ultimate Resurrection to collecting money the right way for the deprived people of the Jerusalem Church.-Chapter 16 verses 1 to 4.
